Ukraine plans to gradually abandon mobilization

The Ukrainian authorities plan to phase out mobilization. Instead, in the future, contracts with clear terms and bonuses will be signed with mobilized citizens. About this reported Deputy Head of the Office of the President Pavlo Palis.

The deputy head of the OP emphasized that the project presented by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine to attract volunteers aged 18-24 to the Armed Forces does not provide for their mobilization:

“Currently, this is a test pilot project, which is a short-term contract for citizens of Ukraine from 18 to 24 years old with the present financial motivation, also with separate bonuses in the form of a deferment after the end of the contract for a period of one year and the right to travel abroad.”

This project is planned to be tested in separate brigades, and the contract will clearly define the duties of both the volunteer and the Ministry of Defense through the commander of the military unit.

“In addition, I will even spoil it a little, this is the first stage of such a larger program, where it will be about the possibility of already mobilized citizens of Ukraine signing a contract with clear terms and also corresponding financial bonuses. It is about giving up mobilization in a planned manner.”Palisa concluded.
