The work of the State Register of Civil Status Acts has been resumed: Ministry of Justice

From January 5, parents of three children under the age of 18 will once again be able to submit applications for postponement of mobilization. Ministry of Justice of Ukraine reported on the successful restoration of the State Register of Civil Status Acts, which was damaged as a result of a large-scale Russian cyberattack. This registry is key to registering births, marriages, divorces, name changes and deaths, and its restoration was an important step to normalize the work of state institutions.
With the restoration of the registry, state bodies can once again enter information about civil status acts into the electronic database. All documents that citizens received in paper form during the shutdown of the registry are now entered into the system. As the Ministry of Justice assured, all issued paper certificates remain valid, and their digital copies will appear in the registry in the near future.
From January 5, data exchange between the registry and such state structures as the State Tax Service, the Pension Fund of Ukraine and the Ministry of Defense will also be resumed. This will allow government bodies to quickly obtain the necessary information and provide services to citizens.
In addition, a number of online services on the Diya portal are expected to become available again on January 5. In particular, citizens will be able to submit applications for postponement of mobilization for parents of three children under the age of 18. The restoration of these services will ensure convenience in using state services and relieve the registration departments.
We will remind you that earlier the Ministry of Justice already announced the resumption of the work of the three main notary registers. Citizens once again gained access to the Unified Register of Powers of Attorney, the Inheritance Register, and the Unified Register of Special Forms of Notarial Documents. These steps indicate a gradual return of state systems to stable operation.
