The first full-length film of the Ukrainian director Pavlo Ostrykov “You are the cosmos” won the main award of the Golden Octopus film festival. This was reported by Derzhkino.
On September 29, at the European Fantasy Film Festival in Strasbourg, the film won another prestigious award – “Silver Melies”. This victory paves the way for participation in the competition for the highest award of European genre cinema – “Golden Melies”.

The film “You – Cosmos” was created for 7 years by the film company “ForeFilms” with the support of Derzhkino. The tape was produced by Volodymyr and Anna Yatsenky, as well as Belgian producers Anton Iffland Stetner and Eva Kuperman.

The science fiction film “You are Space” debuted at the Toronto Film Festival this year, and it will be shown in Ukrainian cinemas in the spring of 2025.
The plot tells about the truck driver Andriy Melnyk, who travels on a cargo spaceship to a black hole. However, the Earth unexpectedly explodes, and Andrew remains almost the only living person in the universe. He establishes a connection with a French scientist, with whom romantic feelings gradually arise.
