Ukraine plans to scale up the “Grain from Ukraine” program

Ukraine plans to expand the “Grain from Ukraine” aid program for poor countries. This decision was made during a meeting between Minister of Foreign Affairs Andrii Sybiga and Minister of Agrarian Policy Vitaly Koval, informs press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.
“At the behest of the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi, we are expanding the “Grain from Ukraine” initiative into “Food from Ukraine”, together with our partners, expanding the range of Ukrainian products and the geography of supplies”, – noted Andrii Sybiga.
The ministers agreed on a joint strategy for the further supply of Ukrainian agricultural products to various countries of the world. As part of the “Grain from Ukraine” initiative, Ukraine has already shipped sunflower oil to Mozambique, where 416 tons of this product will arrive at the beginning of February.
Also, 73.4 tons of oil and 970.5 tons of flour will be delivered to Djibouti at the end of January, and 453 tons of sunflower oil will go to Tanzania in the near future. The “Grain from Ukraine” initiative is aimed at fighting hunger in the world. Within its borders, with the financing of international partners, products of Ukrainian manufacturers are purchased for delivery to countries in need of food aid.
