YouControl analysts have published a ranking of the 20 most profitable private Ukrainian higher education institutions: who is in the top 5
There are 722 legal entities registered in Ukraine (including branches and separate divisions) that provide services in the field of higher education.
The largest Ukrainian private university in terms of revenue in 2023 was the “Interregional Academy of Personnel Management” (IAUP), whose revenue amounted to over UAH 578 million. - MAUP
MAUP generated the largest total revenue in 2023 — more than UAH 578 million, which is 102% more compared to 2021. Georgy Shtokin and his son Rostyslav are the shareholders of PJSC VNZ “MAUP”. This institution is the main asset of financial and industrial group (FPG) “MAUP”, which unites more than 60 companies in the fields of education, publishing and real estate.
2. Ukrainian Catholic University (UCU)
The Ukrainian Catholic University (UCU), located in Lviv, received more than UAH 411 million in total income in 2023, which is twice as much as in 2021. The beneficiary of UCU is Borys Gudziak, Metropolitan of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church and head of the Philadelphia Archdiocese in the USA, according to the data of the Unified State Register.
3. Transcarpathian Hungarian Institute named after Ferenc Rakocza II
In 2023, the Transcarpathian Hungarian Institute named after Ferenc Rakocza II from the city of Berehove received more than UAH 327 million in total income. It is the only university from the twenty YouControl.Market whose revenue growth has decreased compared to 2021 — by 21%.
4. Kyiv University of Culture (KUK)
Kyiv University of Culture (KUK) took fourth place on the list with a total income of UAH 297.7 million in 2023, which is 54% more than in 2021.
5. Kyiv Medical University
Kyiv Medical University, founded in 1992, is the first private institution of higher medical education in the post-Soviet space. In 2023, its total income amounted to UAH 282.6 million, which is 12% more compared to 2021.
