Ukraine will create a Green Platform with a catalog of available financing programs

The Ministry of Economy of Ukraine in partnership with the analytical center DiXi Group and the Green Transition Office started work on the creation of the Green Platform — a digital catalog of green financing programs. It will be available for private business, state and communal enterprises, as well as territorial communities.

“The platform will help to find relevant opportunities for the implementation of energy-efficient solutions, resource conservation and sustainable modernization”DiXi Group reported.

The green platform will include a catalog of loan, grant and investment programs, convenient personalized search tools according to the needs of users, an information section on green transformation, examples of successful projects and useful materials for getting started.

Deputy Minister of Economy Andriy Telyupa noted that the main goal of the platform is to overcome the information barrier between those looking for financing and the green financial instruments available to them.

“We see that the number of green financial instruments for businesses and communities is growing – both thanks to international support and due to the request from the entrepreneurs themselves. At the same time, these opportunities are often scattered across different platforms, and it is difficult for businesses to quickly find an actual program for their needs.”, he noted.

According to Telyupa, the Green Platform will combine the offers of the state, banks, donor organizations and investment funds in a convenient digital format. It will be integrated into the website “Made in Ukraine” and will complement other state initiatives for the development of domestic production and sustainable technologies.

“This is not just a catalog, but a tool for development — with examples of implemented solutions, personalized search and constant updating of information.” – added the deputy minister.

The creation of the platform is a response to the growing demand for financial support for ecological and energy-efficient solutions — from the installation of solar panels and building insulation to the implementation of resource-saving technologies.

“The pilot version of the Green Platform will be presented in the coming months. The Green Transition Office team will ensure that the catalog is filled and all available options are updated. In addition, we provide a convenient way to add new programs in the functionality“, said Andrii Kitura, head of the Green Transition Office, director of development of DiXi Group.

All programs that meet the principles of green financing can be included in the platform, with the aim of expanding access to such opportunities for Ukrainian enterprises and municipalities. The Green Transition Office functions as an independent advisory body under the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine and promotes the implementation of reforms in the field of energy, climate policy and green transition.
