Ukrainian suspected in Starmer’s house arson

A citizen of Ukraine is suspected of setting fire to two residential buildings and a car connected to the Prime Minister of Great Britain, Keir Starmer. The man is currently in custody, informs Sky News,
According to the police, the suspect is 21 years old and lives in London. He has been charged with three counts of arson with intent to endanger life.
“These charges relate to two house fires in Islington on Sunday 11 May and in Kentish Town on Monday 12 May, as well as a car fire in Kentish Town on Thursday 8 May.”, – said the head of the counter-terrorism unit of the Crown Prosecution Service, Bethan David.
The investigation believes that all the objects where the fires occurred have a connection with Starmer. One of the houses affected was his family’s residence before he became prime minister. No one was seriously injured as a result of the fires. One person had to be evacuated from a house in Islington due to smoke. The suspect was left in custody. Westminster Magistrates’ Court is due to make a decision on further custody on Friday, May 16.
“The Crown Prosecution Service reminds all interested parties that criminal proceedings against the accused are ongoing and that he is entitled to a fair trial.”, – explained Bethan David.
We will remind that the fire in one of the houses in the north of London happened on the night of May 12. The fire was quickly extinguished, no one was injured, but the entrance to the building was damaged. It was in this house that Keir Starmer used to live before moving to Downing Street. On May 13, British police announced the arrest of a 21-year-old man on suspicion of setting fire to the Prime Minister’s residence. He is also being investigated for involvement in two more similar incidents involving the head of government.
