In 2024, the joint-stock company “Ukrainian Defense Industry” recorded a net profit of 1 billion 309.5 million hryvnias. About this reported press service of the enterprise.
Part of the profit will be transferred to the state budget in the form of dividends, while the main amount will be directed to the development of defense production — in particular, to the manufacture of weapons, the scaling and transfer of production, as well as the creation of new production facilities.
“Last year, we proved that we have great potential: the competitiveness of products and the volume of production increased. In addition, we started the production of new weapons, which significantly strengthened the capabilities of the Defense Forces of Ukraine.” – stressed the general director of “Ukroboronprom” Oleg Gulyak.
The company noted that in 2024, the enterprises that are part of the association tripled their production volumes compared to the previous year, and the volumes of new contracts increased by 36%. At the same time, 96% of all products were samples of new or modernized military equipment and weapons.
We will remind that on February 15, “Ukrainian Defense Industry” concluded an agreement with the French company Thales International SAS, which specializes in creating information systems for the aviation, space and defense sectors. The parties agreed to create a joint venture.
General Director of Ukroboronprom Oleg Gulyak explained that the partnership will contribute to strengthening the protection of Ukrainian airspace from Russian attacks and will allow Ukrainian specialists to gain experience working with the most modern defense technologies.
