The Cabinet of Ministers updated the border crossing rules for students. Previously, only female students had the right to go abroad for studies and internships during martial law. Now such an opportunity has appeared for male students.
In order to go abroad for the purpose of education or internship, men have to answer such requirements:
- be a citizen of Ukraine aged 18 to 22;
- to study in a higher educational institution of state or communal ownership on a full-time basis;
- not be subject to conscription for military service during mobilization;
- obtain a bachelor’s degree in any specialty, or a master’s degree in medicine, pharmacy or veterinary medicine;
- to become a participant in academic mobility for one semester.
To cross the border, students must have the following documents:
- e-ticket of the student;
- a certificate from a higher education institution about sending a student to participate in mobility (studying at a foreign university), which must indicate the reasons for the student’s departure abroad, the terms of study or internship, certification of the absence of negative grades or facts of retaking tests or exams during the last two semesters;
- military reference document from the TCC;
- a certified copy of the contract with a foreign institution of higher education regarding the student’s participation in the academic mobility program;
- confirmation of the level of knowledge of the language that will be taught at the university where the mobility will take place.
