75,360,186 parcels arrived in Ukraine in 2024, UAH 185.5 million were customs duties

According to the State Customs Service, 272,375,500 parcels have been imported into Ukraine since 2020, of which only 0.75% were charged import duty.

75,360,186 parcels arrived in Ukraine in 2024 – this is the highest figure in four years. Compared to the pre-war period, the number of shipments increased by 1.3 times, and over the last year – by 1.6 times. About this informs The opendatabase.

More than 2 million parcels were subject to duty from 2020 to 2024, which is 0.75% of the total. Thanks to this, the state budget received 668 million hryvnias.

In 2024, customs revenues amounted to 185.5 million hryvnias, which is 15% more than in 2023. If we take into account the average annual exchange rate of the euro, then the growth of revenues to the budget is 5%. Compared to 2021, revenues increased by 41%, but taking into account exchange rate fluctuations, the real increase is 2.5%.

Amounts of customs revenues:

  • 2020 – UAH 92.8 million
  • 2021 – UAH 131.6 million
  • 2022 – UAH 97.9 million
  • 2023 – UAH 160.7 million
  • 2024 – UAH 185.5 million

On average, the additional payment for one parcel subject to customs duty in 2024 was 351 hryvnias (≈8 euros). Goods purchased on foreign marketplaces worth up to 150 euros enter Ukraine without paying VAT (20%) and customs duty (≈10%).
