A shooting took place in the Holosiivskyi district of Kyiv, as a result of which an SBU employee was killed. Law enforcement officers are working at the scene, establishing the circumstances of the crime. About this reported in the metropolitan police.
After arriving at the call, the police found the body of a man with a gunshot wound. Criminal proceedings have been opened in connection with the murder of an SBU employee in the Holosiiv district. At the scene of the incident, the work of the investigation and operational teams of the district and main police departments continues, criminal investigation officers, dog handlers and other specialized units are involved. All the details of the event are currently being clarified.
“The Security Service and the National Police are taking complex measures to find out all the circumstances of the crime and bring the culprits to justice”, – the SBU noted.
The SBU has not disclosed the name of the dead officer, but several sources suggest that it is a colonel. As are reported according to BBC sources in the special services, the deceased is Colonel Ivan Voronych.
The pre-trial investigation is conducted under Article 348 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — “encroachment on the life of a law enforcement officer, a member of a public formation for the protection of public order and the state border, or a military serviceman.”
