President of Ukraine appoints Vasyl Bodnar as Ambassador to Poland
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has dismissed Vasyl Bodnar from the post of ambassador to Turkey and appointed him ambassador of Ukraine to Poland.
This is stated in Decrees No. 738/2024 and No. 739/2024, published on the President’s official website.
‘Dismiss Bodnar Vasyl Myronovych from the post of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the Republic of Turkey,’ reads Decree No. 738/2024.
‘To appoint Vasyl Myronovych Bodnar as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the Republic of Poland,’ reads document No. 7Z9/2024, dated 25 October.
Earlier, on 21 June, President Zelensky dismissed Vasyl Zvarych from the post of Ukraine’s ambassador to Poland and appointed him head of the Ukrainian diplomatic mission in the Czech Republic.
Vasyl Bodnar has served as Ukraine’s ambassador to Turkey since 2021.Prior to that, he was Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine since 2017.Between 2013 and 2015, he worked as a counsellor at the Ukrainian Embassy in Turkey, and then for two more years as Consul General in Istanbul.
