Russian Su-24MR military aircraft violated the airspace of Poland. About this informs Operational Command of the Armed Forces of Poland.
“In the eastern part of the Gdańsk Bay, there was a violation of the airspace over the territorial waters of the Republic of Poland by the Su-24MR aircraft of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation”, – the message says.
The Polish command reported that the plane, which took off from the Krulewiec region, flew into Polish airspace at a maximum depth of 6.5 km and stayed there for 1 minute and 12 seconds. The radar systems of the Polish Armed Forces tracked its movement, and the flight route was changed after the intervention of the navigator of the Russian armed forces.
“On-duty Polish airspace control services contacted the Russian side, which confirmed the violation of Polish airspace and reported that it happened due to a failure of the navigation system of the Su-24MR aircraft,” – noted in the department.
