Sibiga met with Rubio and Graham in London

Minister of Foreign Affairs Andriy Sybiga held a meeting in London with US Secretary of State Mark Rubio and Senator Lindsey Graham. By in words Sybigy, the main goal was to convey the position of President Volodymyr Zelenskyi regarding peace initiatives and agree on approaches on the eve of the decisive week.
During the negotiations, the parties discussed “the logic of further steps and shared our approaches.”
“I confirmed Ukraine’s firm and consistent commitment to the peace efforts of US President Donald Trump and thanked the United States for its participation. We are ready to develop our cooperation in a constructive and mutually beneficial way.”, – noted Sybiga.
The minister emphasized the importance of Russia responding to Ukraine’s initiatives with the same constructiveness.
“So far, it has not done this. Moscow must understand that giving up peace has its price.” – he concluded.
We will remind that on May 11, Russian President Vladimir Putin proposed to resume direct negotiations with Ukraine on May 15 in Istanbul without preconditions. Donald Trump called it a “potentially big day for Ukraine and Russia.” Later, Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed his readiness to come to Istanbul and meet with Putin, noting that he would be waiting for him there.
In the evening of May 14, Putin approved the composition of the Russian delegation to participate in the negotiations on the war against Ukraine in Turkey. At the same time, it became known that US President Donald Trump will not join the negotiations in Turkey.
