China, Russia and Iran will hold joint military exercises

China, Russia and Iran will conduct joint naval exercises in the waters of the Gulf of Oman near the Iranian port of Chabahar. About this informs press service of the Ministry of Defense of China.

The exercises called “Security Belt-2025” are aimed at “deepening mutual trust and pragmatic cooperation between the armed forces of the three countries.” Iran has confirmed the conduct of exercises in the northern part of the Indian Ocean, noting that they will begin on March 11.

China, Russia and Iran regularly organize joint naval maneuvers. They took place in 2019, 2023 and 2024, and in 2022 they took place in January – a month before the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation into Ukraine.

We will remind that in February, China conducted military exercises in the Tasman Sea near Australia. For several days, Australian and New Zealand ships and aircraft tracked the three Chinese warships.
