Tavriya combat module receives permission for use from the Ministry of Defence

Ukraine’s Ministry of Defence has codified and authorised the use of the Tavria combat module in the Armed Forces, the ministry’s press service has reported.

‘The Tavria is a remote-controlled turret equipped with two machine guns, one of which is a large-calibre machine gun. The module is designed to be mounted on armoured combat vehicles or ground robotic platforms.

The turret control system allows for target acquisition and tracking, and accurate fire on moving targets, operating both day and night.

The module is equipped with armour protection that can withstand small arms bullets and protect against fragments.

When mounted on armoured vehicles, the turret control panel and operator monitor are located inside the vehicle, which provides additional protection for the operator during combat operations.

Developers and manufacturers of military equipment can address questions regarding the codification of products to the Main Directorate for Life Cycle Support of Arms and Military Equipment at mdalc@mil.ua.
