In Donetsk region, an assistant judge is suspected of facilitating draft evasion through fake court decisions

Under the procedural guidance of the prosecutors of the General Prosecutor’s Office, the assistant judge of the Marinsky district court of Donetsk region was informed of the suspicion of organizing the illegal transfer of persons across the state border of Ukraine (Part 3 of Article 332 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

For data investigation, the suspect conspired with court officials to ensure the adoption of court decisions based on fictitious circumstances for a certain fee. These decisions allowed men to avoid conscription during mobilization and provided the opportunity to travel outside Ukraine under martial law.

Law enforcement officers recorded that in September of this year the suspect received USD 3,000, and in October — UAH 124,500 for two court decisions related to divorce, deprivation of parental rights of the mother, and establishment of the fact that the child was raised by the father.

Currently, the issue of choosing a preventive measure for the suspect and imposing an arrest on his property is being discussed.

The possible participation of other court employees in the crime is also being checked.

The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by the Main Investigative Department of the DBR under the operational support of the DBR TU in Kramatorsk.
