Currently, the state does not plan to mobilize students and teachers into the army. About this stated Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Oksen Lisovyi.
“No mobilization of students, post-graduate students, scientists, scientific-pedagogical, pedagogical workers who have the right to postponement in accordance with the Law “On mobilization training and mobilization” is foreseen. There are no discussions and discussions on this issue at the government level.
Any inconsistencies that may arise in the by-laws or other documents initiated by the Central Committee on this issue will be settled in accordance with the current law on mobilization“, the head of the Ministry of Education and Culture noted.
Earlier, People’s Deputy Roman Hryshchuk reported that on January 16, the Cabinet of Ministers’ resolution regarding the procedure for postponing military service went into effect. According to him, some provisions caused concern among educators and the deputy himself, because they contradict the law on mobilization and can cause ambiguous interpretations.
Later, Hryschuk clarified that the appeal to the Cabinet of Ministers has already been sent. After negotiations with the government, it was decided to amend the decree so that everything would comply with the current legislation. Educators need not worry.
