The Armed Forces of Ukraine denied that the Russian Federation is allegedly transferring 50 thousand soldiers to attack Kharkiv

Operational-tactical group of troops “Kharkiv” refuted information about the alleged transfer of 50,000 Russian troops to attack Kharkiv.

“Certain foreign media, citing Western analysts, reported that the army of the Russian Federation is preparing for a new large-scale offensive on Kharkiv. For this purpose, the enemy allegedly moved a 50,000-strong group of troops from Kurshchyna to the Ukrainian border bordering the Kharkiv region. This information is untrue.” – the message says.

OTU “Kharkiv” appealed to representatives of Ukrainian and foreign mass media with a request to carefully check the sources before publishing materials and, if necessary, contact the communication units of the Defense Forces for clarifications.

We will remind you that on May 25, 2025, The Military Watch Magazine published information about the alleged transfer of 50,000 Russian servicemen from the Kursk region to Kharkiv. Andriy Kovalenko, head of the Center for Combating Disinformation, noted that these statements are an exaggeration, as Russia currently does not have sufficient resources, neither in manpower nor in equipment, to implement a full-scale offensive in this direction.
