A completely new system will be introduced in Ukraine instead of MSEC
By the end of 2024, medical and social expert commissions (MSEK) will cease to operate in Ukraine. Instead of them, a new system of assessment of working capacity will be introduced with the possibility of remote passing. About this reported Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal during the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers.
As the head of the government noted, the new system will be focused on people’s needs and created taking into account modern approaches. The first stage of the reform has already started – a draft law has been submitted to the Verkhovna Rada, which describes the algorithm for assessing a person’s functional state in everyday life.
According to the new system, expert groups, which will include doctors, will evaluate the condition of patients according to three categories:
- full permanent disability
- partial permanent disability
- full capacity
“The new system will be fully digitized and will provide the possibility of remote, absentee and on-site assessment. The main goal is to ensure the maximum rehabilitation of a person, his return to an active life and adaptation of the workplace in accordance with individual needs“, – emphasized Denys Shmyhal.
