The Czech company launched the production of drones for the Armed Forces

Currently, the company in Cologne employs about 80 people, mostly Ukrainians, a fifth of whom are Czechs. In case of growing demand, UAC is ready to expand production.

In the spring, the Czech-Ukrainian enterprise UAC began producing special military drones for the Ukrainian army near Cologne. About this informs e15.cz.

The company intends to manufacture hundreds of reconnaissance and attack drones every year, which are constantly adapting to the changing requirements of Ukrainian defenders.

Currently, the Cologne enterprise employs about 80 people, mostly Ukrainians, a fifth of whom are citizens of the Czech Republic. If demand continues to grow, UAC is ready to expand production.

“In November, we started trial operation, in April – combat operation. Our exclusive customer is the Ukrainian army,” UAC executive director Pavlo Bulant explained.

The company produces Stork reconnaissance drones for battlefield surveillance and Mace kamikaze drones that will destroy tanks, infantry fighting vehicles, warships or group targets.

The Mace UAV can be armed with a cumulative charge that penetrates armor up to 400 millimeters thick, or a fragmentation charge to hit trenches or command posts. The thermobaric warhead is very effective and can destroy large amounts of manpower.

UAC is a subsidiary of a private Ukrainian company of the same name from Dnipro, which has been developing and producing drones since 2014.

“Now the supply of unmanned vehicles from the Czech Republic to Ukraine is an absolute priority. In the future, we intend to obtain a decisive share of the Central European market in the category of medium-sized unmanned aerial vehicles and receive orders from the armed forces of NATO countries and other states,” said Stefan Füle from the management about the business plans UAC.
