The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine reported that the “Defense Procurement Agency” has become the largest customer of drones in the Prozorro system. Since the beginning of 2024, the agency has purchased DJI Mavic 3E and 3T drones for the amount of UAH 2.5 billion, which is more than 40% of the total cost of drones purchased through competitive bidding on Prozorro.

Efficiency and economy
Deputy Minister of Defense Dmytro Klimenkov emphasized the importance of efficient use of resources and noted that thanks to competitive bidding it was possible to save 187 million hryvnias.
Special framework agreement
When purchasing drones, the Defense Procurement Agency uses a special framework agreement in the Prozorro system. This allows you to hide confidential information about tender participants, while ensuring transparency and competition.
Ensuring the needs of the military
Director of the Defense Procurement Agency, Marina Bezrukova, emphasized the importance of providing the military with the necessary equipment and noted that the agency held 94 tenders for small batches of Maviks, in which 18 supplier companies participated.
Large-scale procurement of drones
The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine plans to purchase through the “Defense Procurement Agency” 20,000 unmanned aircraft complexes with a total cost of almost UAH 3 billion by the end of May 2024.
