Women sole proprietors can receive grants for the development of innovations in agribusiness

Ukrainian women are invited to participate in the second wave of the Empowering Women in Agrifood (EWA) grant program to support women entrepreneurs in the field of agrifood business. The initiative is implemented by EIT Food with the support of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT), which is a structure of the European Union. In Ukraine, the program is implemented by the innovative company Radar Tech.
The program will be held online, with several offline meetings. Each participant will receive up to €1,000 to cover personal expenses related to logistics, accommodation and other needs. In the final, during the Demo Day, the best projects will receive grants for business development — 5,000 and 10,000 euros.
Entrepreneurs who are engaged in the implementation of innovations in the field of agri-food can participate. For example, they grow or process products using ecological technologies, develop solutions to reduce food waste, create new types of organic fertilizers or product storage systems, implement educational initiatives in the food sector or implement artificial intelligence in agrifood solutions.
Candidates must meet several conditions: be residents of Ukraine, have an idea in the field of agrifood or an active business registered in Ukraine no more than three years ago, and also have no experience of attracting investments or grants for this business idea in the amount of more than 60,000 euros. Applications for participation in the program are accepted in Ukrainian until May 25.
