Ukraine will receive $500 million from the International Monetary Fund

The International Monetary Fund has completed the eighth revision of the cooperation program with Ukraine, which will allow our country to receive 500 million dollars. About this informs Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal.
“The Executive Board of the IMF has completed the eighth revision of the program of cooperation with Ukraine. Soon we will receive the ninth tranche from the Fund in the amount of 500 million dollars. We will direct the funds to cover priority budget expenditures.” – explained the head of the Ukrainian government.
Shmyhal also noted that within the framework of the Extended Financing Mechanism (EFF) program, Ukraine has already received more than 10 billion dollars, which is a contribution to the stability of the state and macro-financial stability.
In the Ministry of Finance emphasized, that the IMF noted Ukraine’s progress in fulfilling the conditions of the EFF program. Even in the conditions of war, the indicators of its implementation remain high. Ukraine has fulfilled two structural milestones: legislative changes regarding the introduction of tax reporting requirements for digital platform operators have been submitted to the Verkhovna Rada, and a report based on the results of an external audit by NABU has been published.
It will be recalled that on June 30, Canada provided Ukraine with about 1.7 billion dollars. The funds came at the expense of profits from frozen Russian assets.
“Together with our partners, we are forcing Russia to pay for the crimes and destruction it has committed. Since the beginning of the year, including the last tranche, we have received about 17.6 billion dollars at the expense of immobilized assets of the Russian Federation.” Shmyhal commented.
