How much has Ukraine already received from Sweden?
Since the invasion of Russia in February 2022, Sweden has already allocated 37 billion kroner to support our country. In particular, the country transferred 15 packages of military support for a total amount of approximately SEK 30 billion. Currently, Ukraine ranks first in terms of the amount of support that Sweden has provided to any country throughout history.
The amount of aid for Ukrainian refugees in Sweden is also increasing. Changes proposed by the country’s government in May will allow Ukrainians to obtain a Swedish social security number. This will simplify the access of our fellow citizens to most public services and expand the list of medical services that can be obtained free of charge.
In addition, it is planned to increase the amount of financial assistance to refugees to 308 crowns per day. Today, 71 crowns per day are allocated for the maintenance of one refugee.
