Zelenskyy said that the United States and the Russian Federation continue negotiations on an unconditional ceasefire

During the negotiations in Saudi Arabia, Russia did not agree to an unconditional ceasefire, but negotiations on this topic between the US and the Russian side continue. About this reported President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi.
“Then in Saudi Arabia, you know, we agreed to an unconditional ceasefire. In Russia, they have not agreed to this yet, we see it. Although we know that talks between the Americans and Russians on this topic are ongoing. There are non-public talks, they are.” Zelensky said.
He noted that the US and European countries have their own interests in ending hostilities as soon as possible, in particular, they are united in their intention to put pressure on Russia.
“I think it’s possible to do it as much as possible in the coming weeks, maybe months, or it can be different: sometimes it happens at one moment. Especially with this part of the end of the war.” – added the president.
In his opinion, ending the active phase of the war involves a complete ceasefire, which is the right step and supported by Ukraine.
“Regarding another step, but then there will be time, for example, the first agreements can be a month, two months, it doesn’t matter, to be honest. But this is a chance for the countries to start diplomatic options of certain formats of dialogue. They can be really different, completely different. It takes time.” Zelenskyi explained.
