17 березня ціни на нафту зросли після заяви США про намір продовжувати атаки на єменських хуситів, підтримуваних Іраном, допоки вони не припинять напади на судноплавство. Про це повідомляє Reuters. Ф’ючерси на нафту марки Brent зросли на 41 цент, або 0,6%, до $70,99 за барель, тоді як американська West Texas Intermediate додала 40 центів, або 0,6%, до $67,58 за барель. Унаслідок авіаударів США загинули щонайменше 53 людини. Це стало найбільшою військовою операцією США на Близькому Сході з моменту вступу Дональда Трампа на посаду президента в січні. Напади хуситів на судноплавство в Червоному морі порушили світову торгівлю та призвели до запуску дорогої кампанії американських військових із перехоплення ракет і дронів. Нагадаємо, що минулого тижня ціни на нафту дещо зросли, перервавши тритижневу смугу втрат, що була викликана побоюваннями щодо уповільнення світової економіки на тлі ескалації торгової напруги між США та іншими країнами.
