In Kyiv, it was decided that the main form of education for all educational institutions will be full-time

On August 28, at a meeting of the Kyiv Defense Council, a decision was made regarding the organization of the educational process in educational institutions of the capital – the main form of education for all educational institutions will be face-to-face. However, taking into account the possible circumstances, the use of distance, mixed and other forms of education is also provided in accordance with Ukrainian legislation. About this informs Serhiy Popko, head of the KMVA.

The decision of the Kyiv Defense Council means that students will return to classes and receive knowledge in the usual format – under the supervision of teachers in the classrooms. Such a decision is aimed at ensuring the maximum involvement of students in the educational process, improving the quality of education and preserving traditional forms of education.

However, to ensure the safety of all participants in the educational process, it was determined that shelters must be provided for face-to-face education. This decision is designed to ensure that in case of danger, students and staff will be able to quickly hide in a safe place.

Despite the priority of face-to-face education, in some cases it is possible to use alternative forms. If the circumstances require, the educational process can be organized in remote or mixed forms, as well as in other forms provided for by Ukrainian legislation. Such decisions will be made on a case-by-case basis to ensure the continuity of the educational process, even in difficult circumstances.

In addition to the organization of the educational process, security issues in educational institutions were discussed at the meeting of the Kyiv Defense Council. It was decided to introduce daily control and monitoring of educational institutions by law enforcement agencies. This will make it possible to promptly respond to possible threats and maintain order in schools and other educational institutions.

One of the key topics of discussion was the provision of educational institutions with independent sources of electricity. This decision is aimed at avoiding interruptions in the educational process in the event of a power outage, as well as ensuring the smooth functioning of all educational institutions.

Special attention was paid to issues of fire safety in schools and kindergartens. By August 30, all educational institutions in Kyiv must submit reports on their readiness to comply with fire safety standards. This includes not only having the appropriate equipment, but also training staff in the event of a fire to ensure maximum safety for students and staff.
