30% of Poles plan to leave the country in case of a possible Russian attack: survey
In Poland, a sociological survey was conducted regarding a possible Russian attack on the country. According to its results, 30% of respondents said that in such a situation they would leave the territory of the state. This reports the publication Super Express with reference to data from the Pollster Institute.
At the same time, 70% of respondents emphasized that they would stay in Poland in case of Russian aggression. The study was conducted on September 10 and 11, and 1,020 citizens of the country took part in it. At the same time, during the survey, there was no question about readiness to join the ranks of the army for the defense of the state.
Former special forces officer Major Arkadiusz Kups, commenting on the results, expressed hope that “these statements do not deviate from reality and this indicator is not exaggerated”.
” I am quite pleasantly surprised. I was afraid I would see a fifty-fifty ratio here. I understand that in case of war, mother and child want to leave, but everyone who has to defend the homeland, everyone who has to stand on the border, has to stay. I hope that these statements are not far from reality, and this number is not exaggerated, Arkadiusz Kups said.
Let us remind you that on the night of September 10, Russian drones violated the airspace of Poland. The military conducted an operation to eliminate them, for the first time knocking down such targets over the territory of the country. Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk informed NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte about the incident and emphasized that Poland will not introduce additional restrictions.
