40 Ukrainian drones received a NATO code this year

More than a hundred models of drones that were created by Ukrainians have already received a NATO code. In particular, during January – May, more than 40 drones were certified. In 2023, the NATO code was assigned to 60 Ukrainian-made unmanned aerial vehicles, the Ministry of Defense reports.

Recognition is received not only by drones, but also by other types of weapons that are designed and produced in Ukraine.
“Among the more than two dozen samples of ground robotic systems and remote-controlled combat modules codified since the beginning of this year, the products of domestic gunsmiths prevail”, – noted in Ministry of Defense.

In addition, during the period of the full-scale invasion, the Armed Forces of Ukraine allowed 110 samples of vehicles to be used. Only during the first five months, the Armed Forces adopted 60 models. These are machines of both Ukrainian and foreign production.
“Among the producing countries are the USA, Germany, Sweden, Great Britain, Italy and others. More than a third of the auto equipment samples are Ukrainian-made, including armored cars, trucks and electric motorcycles. In particular, the military received popular models of off-road vehicles, an American tractor-transporter for heavy equipment, ATVs, hexacycles and buggies”, – reported the Ministry of Defense.

We will remind you that during the 6 months of operation of the State rear operator, the organization concluded 391 contracts worth over UAH 47 billion. 38% of the total volume of purchased goods has already arrived at the military units. Thanks to the work of the State rear operator, it was possible to save UAH 13 billion, or 22% of the budget submitted to the agency. The majority (94%) of purchases were made using the Prozorro electronic system.
