In two months, Ukrainians took loans from banks in the amount of almost UAH 4 billion for energy equipment

Since the beginning of June, banks have received 1,356 applications from enterprises for lending projects for the restoration of energy infrastructure for a total amount of 4.1 billion hryvnias. About this reported press service of the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU).

The total financed capacity under business loans is 50.4 MW. So far, applications worth 3.97 billion hryvnias have been approved, including those agreements that have already been signed and those that will be signed in the near future.

According to the NBU, clients are already using financing in the total amount of 607 million hryvnias, which is the gross value of the portfolio of loans granted to legal entities for the development of energy capacities.

In particular, for the period from July 29 to August 4, 162 applications for the amount of 1.05 billion hryvnias were submitted, 110 applications for the amount of 403 million hryvnias were approved, and 43 loans were granted with a total amount of 94 million hryvnias. The total financed capacity under business loans is 50.4 MW (preliminary data, which takes into account about 85% of the portfolio).

According to the NBU, the largest amounts of funds were allocated for the construction of solar power plants (SPP) (13 MW) and gas-piston cogeneration plants (13 MW). The purchase of diesel and gasoline generators is also financed.

In addition, banks also lend to the public. Over the past week, citizens were granted 191 loans totaling 15 million hryvnias. The volume of the gross portfolio of loans related to the energy needs of individuals is now 27 million hryvnias.
