51 more drugs to be included in the “Affordable Medicines” program

From July 2026, the list of medicines available within the framework of the state program “Affordable Medicines” will be supplemented by 51 more items. This was announced by Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko.

The new drugs are intended for controlling blood pressure, treating heart failure and heart rhythm disorders, preventing blood clots, lowering cholesterol levels, as well as for treating patients after a myocardial infarction or with an increased risk of stroke.

Within the framework of the program, Ukrainians can receive the necessary medicines for free or with partial payment for electronic prescription. Since its launch, the program has been used by more than 6 million citizens, and since the beginning of 2026, almost 2 million patients.

To obtain medications, you must consult a doctor, issue an electronic prescription, and present it at a pharmacy marked with the sticker “Available Medicines Are Here.”

As of the end of March, the program list included 748 items. Of these, 621 were medicines, 59 were insulin preparations, 32 were combination preparations, and another 36 items were medical devices, including test strips for glucometers.
