A large-scale failure of mobile operators occurred in Russia

On January 24, users of the Russian Federation reported large-scale disruptions in the work of mobile operators Megafon, MTS, Tele2 and Yota, as well as problems with banking services. This is reported by rosZMI.
Difficulties in the work of the Telegram messenger were also recorded, in particular, delays in the delivery of messages and the inability to download media files. Most of the complaints concern interruptions in mobile communications and the Internet. Disruptions also affected the financial sphere, in particular, clients of VTB Bank faced difficulties during financial transactions.
This is not the first significant incident in recent times. For example, on January 14, there was a large-scale Internet failure in Russia, and the next day, damage to the trunk cable in Tatarstan caused a decrease in Internet speed.
Recently, problems with the Internet and services in Russia are occurring more and more often. Experts explain this as an overload of the infrastructure, as well as possible technical failures due to increased control over Internet traffic.
