After scandal in Israel, ship with stolen Ukrainian grain awaits unloading in Turkey
The Panormitis vessel, which is transporting 25 thousand tons of barley and wheat from the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine, waits for passage and unloading in the Turkish port of Iskenderun.
Earlier, the Israeli company “Centsiper” refused to accept cargo at the port of Haifa due to the risk of sanctions.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andriy Sybiga called the importer’s decision a “positive development”.
Previously, Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiga stated that Israel had allowed the transportation of grain exported from the occupied Ukrainian territories. Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar rejected these accusations and stated that Ukraine had not provided evidence.
The media reports that the grain schemes of Israel and Russia have a systematic practice of cooperation around the export of grain from the occupied territories.
