Almost 40,000 Ukrainian men aged 18-22 have entered Poland since August 28

Starting from August 28, 2025, almost 53,000 checks of male citizens of Ukraine aged 18-22 were recorded at the Ukrainian-Polish border: about 40,000 at the entrance to Poland and more than 13,000 at the exit. About this reports Border Service of Poland (Straż Graniczna Rzeczypospolitej Polskiej).

The service did not specify whether the border was actually crossed in all 53,000 cases. Border guards emphasized that these data reflect the number of checks, not the number of persons.

“We inform you that the border service has statistical data related to the number of border crossings (border traffic within the framework of the checks), and not the number of people who entered the border. or left “from” the territory of the Republic of Poland”, – the service noted.

At the same time, information on how many men of this age category were refused to cross the border was not provided.

Recall that at the end of August, the government allowed men aged 18-22 to travel abroad, and this rule came into effect on August 28. From then until September 3, about 10,000 Ukrainian men took advantage of this opportunity and left for Poland.

To cross the border, men of this age category must have a passport and a military registration document in paper or electronic form.
