An apartment for almost a million dollars: a journalistic investigation of the deputy director of the State Security Bureau (video)

A recent journalistic investigation revealed, that the deputy director of the State Bureau of Investigation Oleksandr Udovichenko lives in an elite apartment worth about 900 thousand dollars in the Regent Hill residential complex in Kyiv. This fact contradicts his official declaration, which states only the rental of housing in another district of the capital.

According to the declaration, the official rents an apartment in the Holosiivsky district of Kyiv near the Vasylkivska metro station in the elite Park Avenue VIP residential complex.

Journalists also recorded Udovychenka’s official car, which regularly arrives at the Regent Hill residential complex, which indicates that he lives there. Ownership of the apartment is officially registered to Iryna Kopach, the aunt of Udovychenka’s common-law wife. However, given Iryna Kopach’s profession and income, doubts arise regarding her ability to purchase such an expensive home.

An apartment in the Regent Hill residential complex with an area of 125 square meters was purchased in October 2022. The market value of real estate of this size in the specified residential complex starts from 37,000,000 hryvnias — 900,000 dollars. Iryna Kopach lives in Odessa and works as a cosmetologist.

We will remind that after the dismissal from “Ukrzaliznytsia” of Eduard Kritsyn, who worked as the director of economic and information security of UZ, his family acquired expensive real estate and a car – we are talking about new assets worth more than 300 thousand dollars.
