An explosion occurred at a school in Dnipro during a demonstration of ammunition: two children were injured
In Dnipro, an explosion occurred at a school during a display of dummy ammunition, causing smoke, as a result of which two students received minor injuries.
As reports the police of the Dnipropetrovsk region, the incident occurred during classes at the lyceum, organized with the participation of representatives of the territorial recruitment center (TCK) within the framework of the “Defense of Ukraine” program. The students were in shelter due to an alarm, and during the demonstration of a mock grenade, an explosion with smoke occurred.
An investigative and operational group and juvenile police officers arrived at the scene, recorded the circumstances of the incident and conducted priority inspection measures. The children were transferred to another room, and the room was ventilated to eliminate the smoke.
Currently, the events have not yet been given a legal qualification, and the issue of opening criminal proceedings is being resolved.
The director of the lyceum reported that the ammunition dummies were provided by representatives of the CCC to conduct practical classes and ensure the safety of students during their studies.
