War robs children of their normal childhood, but art can be the force that helps them find inspiration, peace of mind, emotional balance, and new possibilities. Music, drawing, dancing or theatrical performances give children the opportunity to express their feelings, relieve tension and find faith in the best. It is especially important to support the development of art in the conditions of war, when children have to overcome stress and psychological difficulties. That is why initiatives aimed at supporting art education become even more valuable.
A gift for art education in Ukraine
Recently, Ukrainian art schools received unique support from Germany. The leading company producing acoustic pianos, C. Bechstein Pianoforte AG, donated about 100 W. Hoffman pianos to art institutions in Ukraine, including the Mykola Lysenko Kyiv State Music Lyceum. It was reported Ministry of Culture and Strategic Communications of Ukraine. As reported by the Ministry of Culture and Strategic Communications of Ukraine, the transfer of tools took place with the participation of the Minister of Culture Mykola Tochytskyi, representatives of the Ukrainian Charitable Foundation “Carl Bechstein”, Director of the “Grand Piano” company Victor Mykhaylov and German partners, including the Director of the Carl Bechstein Stiftung Gregor Vilmes and the owner of C Stefan Freimuth’s Bechstein.
Signing a memorandum of cooperation
During the meeting, a memorandum of cooperation was also signed, which provides for the consolidation of efforts for the development of art education in Ukraine. This document will become the basis for further support of Ukrainian art institutions, will help provide them with modern resources and create favorable conditions for learning.
Minister of Culture Mykola Tochytskyi expressed deep gratitude to the German partners for their generosity and attention to young Ukrainian musicians. He emphasized that such initiatives are important not only for supporting education, but also for the morale of the entire Ukrainian society.
