Children’s railways in Kyiv and Dnipro resumed operation

The new summer season of the Kyiv Children’s Railway has started. Also ready to meet small passengers is the oldest in Ukraine and the second oldest in the world – the Dnipro Children’s Railway.
Kyiv Children’s Railway
Kyiv mini-railway operates on weekends from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. It is located at the address of st. Parkovo-Syretska, 4 (Syretsky Park).
This year, the prices for visiting the complex are as follows:
- A ticket to the Museum of the History of the South-Western Railway — UAH 50.
- Visiting the exhibition of narrow-gauge rolling stock — 50 hryvnias.
- Train travel in a general carriage — 80 UAH (child) and 110 UAH (adult).
- Train travel in a retrocar — 90 UAH (child) and 130 UAH (adult).
- Train travel in a “Luxury” class carriage — 100 UAH (child) and 150 UAH (adult).
“You can also study here for free — it’s a unique opportunity to get to know the railway better! Currently, more than 1,000 children are studying at the Kyiv Children’s Railway. They learn the professions of station attendants, conductors of passenger cars, drivers, track masters, etc.,” they reported. in “Ukrzaliznytsia”.
Dnipro Children’s Railway
The Dnipro Children’s Railway was opened in 1936 and stopped trains only a few times: during World War II, quarantine and the first year of a large-scale invasion. On May 4, the summer train season started here.
“650 young Dnipro railway workers, under the supervision of instructors, will drive trains, monitor the serviceability of the track network, work as announcers, cashiers, station attendants,” – noted in “Ukrzaliznytsia”.

The Dnipro Children’s Railway is located at Dnipro city, Dmytro Yavornytskyi Ave., 95d. Her work schedule this year will look like this:
- in May, September and October – on weekends from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.;
- in the summer months – every Friday from 12:00 to 18:00, on weekends from 10:00 to 18:00.
