Defense forces of Ukraine successfully struck Russian positions, hitting the S-300P anti-aircraft missile system and the Nebo-M radar complex in the Belgorod region. About this reported at the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to the military, the Russian S-300P air defense system was destroyed by means of long-range fire damage in the Belgorod region, which “significantly reduced the coverage area of long-range Russian air defense in the region.”
In addition, Ukrainian forces struck the Nebo-M complex, which “critically affected its functionality” and at the same time reduced the efficiency of the nearby 5Н66М “Big Bird” radar station in the same region.
“Such coordinated strikes significantly weaken the air defense system of the Russian Federation, reducing the enemy’s ability to cover its troops and infrastructure and facilitate the conduct of operations by Ukrainian units. The weakening of these systems directly supports our efforts aimed at reducing the ability of the Russian Federation to wage an aggressive war and attack the civilian population and civilian infrastructure of our state.”, – noted in the General Staff.
Such strikes directly weaken the Russian Federation’s ability to demonstrate military power, defend its own units, and hold illegally occupied Ukrainian territories.
