During the week, 150 people, including 25 children, were evacuated from dangerous areas of the Sumy region. About this reported Sumy Regional Military Administration.
“Currently, evacuation measures cover 213 settlements in 18 communities of the region that are under constant threat of shelling. Over the past week, 150 people have left dangerous areas, including 25 children.”, the message says.
After arriving in safe areas, people can turn to a transit center, where they are assisted with processing state and international payments, provided with humanitarian, medical and psychological support, as well as offered options for further accommodation.
“Evacuation is a forced but vital step. We continue to help everyone who decides to leave dangerous settlements. Residents of border communities have the opportunity to sign up for the weekly free evacuation flight of train #45 Sumy-U2”, – added in OVA.
During the day, Russian troops carried out almost 90 shellings, which covered 38 settlements within 14 communities of the Sumy region. The most intense attacks were recorded in the Sumy and Shostky districts. As a result of shelling, civilians were killed and injured.
One person was injured in the Khotyn community as a result of an FPV drone explosion. In the Sumy community, within the Bytytsky Starostyn district, drone strikes injured a civilian, and also caused the death of two people and the wounding of another.
