Elon Musk is accused of inciting international hatred

The Center to Counter Digital Hate (CCDH) says changes Musk made to X (formerly Twitter) policies after he took over led to a rise in the popularity of accounts and posts that incite racial divisiveness.

This is reported on website page (CCDH).

The organization investigated the activities of ten accounts that pay for X Premium and publish anti-Semitic and anti-Muslim material. According to the study, after October 7, these profiles increased their reach dramatically.

CCDH cites examples of posts containing anti-Semitic stereotypes and claims that the number of followers of these profiles increased by 4 million people in the four months after October 7.

The most striking result came from Dawson’s profile, which publishes openly anti-Semitic content. According to CCDH, the number of his followers has increased almost tenfold.

It’s worth noting that Dawson was previously blocked from X for denying the Holocaust and accusing Israel of orchestrating the 9/11 attacks. However, after Maska came to power, his profile was restored.

In addition, Musk unblocked a number of other accounts associated with promoting white supremacy and neo-Nazism.

CCDH notes that these actions have led to two consequences: firstly, the amount of radical material on the platform has increased, and secondly, users spend more than an hour on X, which increases advertising revenues. The organization accuses Musk of knowingly doing this to profit from the tragedy.

CCDH notes the ineffectiveness of combating such profiles through criticism, as it only increases their visibility.
