The Ministry of Health reminds that vaccination is the most effective prevention against influenza and COVID-19, especially for people at risk. Vaccines against these diseases can be received simultaneously or at intervals. Vaccinations against COVID-19 remain free for everyone, and Pfizer’s Comirnaty omicron-specific vaccines for adults and children are used. You can get vaccinated at your family doctor. Influenza vaccination is recommended but not free of charge. It is especially recommended for people at risk, including healthcare workers, educators, law enforcement officers, patients with chronic diseases, children under 5 years of age and people over 60 years of age. As of 3 November, 64,242 people had been vaccinated against influenza.

The agency noted that in the face of rising incidence of SARS and other respiratory infections, preventive measures are in place, such as wearing masks, keeping distance and introducing local quarantine in certain cities or districts. Measures can also be taken at the level of individual organisations, educational institutions or businesses in the event of an outbreak of infectious diseases.
