Farewell to the designer will take place in his chapel in Milan on September 6-7 from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Via Bergognone 59 in Armani/Teatro. The funeral, at the request of Armani himself, will be held in a private format.

Recently, the designer had health problems and for the first time in his career was forced to miss the Men’s Fashion Week in Milan.
Armani did not immediately choose fashion: he studied for three years at the medical faculty of the University of Milan, after which he served in the army. Then he worked for two years at La Rinascente department store in Milan as a salesman and window designer. In 1975, he founded the Armani brand, which over time became a symbol of modern Italian style and elegance.
Giorgio Armani was nicknamed Re Giorgio (King Giorgio) for his exceptional attention to detail in all aspects, from collections and business to advertising and model hairstyles.
The annual turnover of his company during the time of his leadership reached about 2.3 billion euros. In an interview with the Financial Times, the designer said that he wants to preserve the unity of the company after the transfer of management and plans to gradually transfer its management to his closest associates, including Leo Dell’Orco, who was responsible for the men’s collections. Who will lead Armani after the founder’s death has not yet been announced.
