EU and the world

In France, they urged not to give Ukraine “a single euro”, it should start peace negotiations with Russia

Florian Philippe, the leader of the French Patriots party, expressed concern about the consequences of the restructuring of Ukraine’s external debt for France. On its own page in the X social network (formerly Twitter), he stated that due to Ukraine’s achievement of external debt restructuring, France will be forced to pay more. Filippo called for an end to support for Kyiv and not to provide “any euro”. Instead, in his opinion, Ukraine should start peace negotiations with Russia.

In his publication, he cited information from the mass media that the S&P rating agency lowered Ukraine’s credit rating, putting the country on the verge of default. In addition, Kyiv reached an “agreement in principle” with a group of international private creditors on the restructuring of thirteen series of Eurobonds.

“This means two things: we will be asked to pay even more! We will be told that it is to save Ukraine and, of course, for Mir, – he wrote.

Filippo also expressed the opinion that, in fact, this will turn into the enrichment of several large private lenders, in particular BlackRock, which has been actively working in Ukraine since 2022.

“We must stop supplying arms and money to this country and all those behind it! No Euros, nothing! Only peace talks!”, – he concluded.
