Iran attacked Israel: more than 200 drones and missiles were launched

On the night of April 13-14, Iran sent more than 200 drones, cruise and ballistic missiles at Israel. Before reaching his territory, a significant number of them were successfully intercepted and destroyed.

The blasts that rang out in Jerusalem and major cities in the south and north were the result of ballistic missiles being fired at Israel, the IDF confirmed.

At the same time, Iran’s Revolutionary Guard warned the United States of America against providing any form of aid to Israel or participating in activities that could negatively affect Iran’s interests.

According to two regional security sources who spoke to Reuters, a significant number of Iranian drones were successfully shot down by Jordanian fighter jets. These unmanned aerial vehicles were intercepted in the airspace over the northern and central regions of Jordan.

According to Iranian sources, video footage shows that a missile hit an Israeli military base located in the Negev desert. According to a statement by an Israeli official to the New York Times, the country will coordinate its response to the Iranian attack with its allies.

The American television network NBC reported that more than 30 people were injured in Israel during the attack on Iran, and most of them were seriously injured.

US President Joe Biden has expressed concern that Netanyahu is trying to involve the United States in a wider conflict with Iran. NBC News has obtained information from prominent US officials who have expressed concerns about a possible Israeli response to an attack by Iran.

UN Secretary-General Guterres also strongly condemned Iran’s attack on Israel, underscoring the significant escalation it represents. Guterres made the announcement on the X social network and urged all parties involved to exercise “maximum restraint” following the attack, which involved more than 200 drones and missiles.
