Iran’s parliament speaker officially accuses Trump of spreading false information

The Speaker of the Iranian Parliament, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, has sharply criticized the leadership of the United States of America, accusing the American side of manipulation.

According to a senior Iranian official, the statements made by US President Donald Trump regarding the current security situation and the progress of diplomatic negotiations are not true. Ghalibaf emphasized that the use of unreliable information in the public space will not help Washington gain an advantage either at the negotiating table or within the framework of military confrontation.

The speaker of the parliament paid special attention to the issue of shipping in the Strait of Hormuz, which is a strategically important transport hub. He emphasized that Tehran intends to maintain control over this water area, and in the event of the continuation of the economic blockade, the passage of ships will take place exclusively along the routes approved by the Iranian side. According to Ghalibaf, the real rules of navigation in the region will be established directly in the conflict zone, and not through messages on social networks.

“The President of the United States made seven statements in one hour, and all seven were false. They did not win the war with these false accusations, and they will not succeed in the negotiations either,” wrote Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf.

The sharp reaction of the Iranian official came after the US President’s interview with Bloomberg, in which he announced significant progress in resolving the nuclear issue. Donald Trump claimed that the Iranian side had allegedly agreed to suspend uranium enrichment and halt its nuclear program indefinitely without unfreezing its assets. Trump also suggested that the final long-term agreement could be signed as early as this weekend.

“Negotiations on a long-term agreement will probably take place this weekend. Most of the main points have been finally agreed upon. It will happen quite quickly,” Donald Trump said.

The head of the White House also did not rule out his personal visit to Pakistan, where US and Iranian diplomats are currently staying for direct consultations. Despite the optimistic forecasts of the American administration, the Iranian side continues to insist that Washington’s media activity is part of information pressure. Tehran assures that the nation remains resistant to manipulation of public opinion and will not make concessions that threaten national sovereignty.

The further fate of the nuclear agreement remains uncertain due to conflicting signals from both sides. While official Washington is preparing for the final stage of the diplomatic process, Iran’s military and political circles are demonstrating readiness for escalation in the Persian Gulf.

The situation around the Strait of Hormuz remains a key factor that could affect global energy markets and the stability of international shipping.
