Large-scale searches were carried out in Germany against far-right extremist youth groups

In Germany, law enforcement agencies have carried out a large-scale police operation against suspected members of right-wing extremist groups. The searches took place simultaneously in 12 of the 16 federal states at more than 45 locations.

According to the Federal Prosecutor’s Office in Karlsruhe, the case involves 36 people suspected of founding or being members of the organizations Jung & Stark and Deutsche Jugend voran. Most of the suspects, according to the investigation, held leadership positions in these structures.

The youngest person involved in the case is only 16 years old. Some of the people are also being investigated for involvement in serious bodily harm. No arrests were made during the operation, which was aimed at gathering evidence.

The investigation found that both groups had been operating since mid-2024, had a nationwide network, and coordinated their activities both online and in person. They were linked to calls for violence against political opponents and members of marginalized groups.

According to German security services, the activity of youth far-right structures in the country has increased significantly over the past year, and the groups themselves are increasingly resorting to physical attacks and organized acts of violence.
