Holidays and commemorative dates:

Day of the May Sun – a positive holiday, which today people usually associate simply with a warm light. In fact, this day is so called in honor of the revolution of 1810. Then Argentina gained independence from Spain.

Family Medicine Day and World Family Doctor Day – awarded on the initiative of the World Council of Family Physicians (WONCA). In Ukraine, these dates have been celebrated since 2017.

Events on this day:

1051 – Anna Yaroslavna, daughter of Yaroslav the Wise, became queen of France. The coronation ceremony took place in the city of Reims.
1125 — Volodymyr Monomakh, Grand Duke of Kyiv, Chernihiv and Pereyaslav, died.
1536 — the execution of Anne Boleyn, the wife of the English king Henry VIII.
1568 – the English Queen Elizabeth I ordered the imprisonment of the former Scottish Queen Mary Stuart, who asserted her rights to the English throne.
1649 – England is declared a republic.
1861 — the first Sunday school in Ukraine was opened in Sumy.
1881 – the “father of all Turks” – Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, Turkish statesman and politician, general, first president of Turkey, was born.
1997 – Hewlett-Packard released its first portable computer that ran on the Windows CE operating system.
