Ministry of Defense: 17-year-old Ukrainians abroad must come to Ukraine to register for military service at the TCC

The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine informs that all citizens of Ukraine who have reached the age of 17 are required to register for military service, even if they are abroad.

Young men who have reached the age of 17 must register for the military. There is such a requirement. And it also applies to those who are abroad. If these people will retain Ukrainian citizenship and connect their future with our country, then, obviously, it is worth doing.” said the spokesman of the ministry.

  • All 17-year-old citizens of Ukraine are required to register for military service, regardless of their place of residence.
  •  In order to register, you need to appear in person at the territorial recruitment and social support center (TCC and SP) in Ukraine.
  • Currently, there is no possibility to register remotely through the “Reserve+” application.

The spokesman of the Ministry of Defense called on all citizens who link their future with Ukraine to fulfill their duty and register for military service.

On June 4, Dmytro Lazutkin also reported that conscripted Ukrainians who are abroad and have the status “wanted” in the “Reserve+” application are also obliged to come to Ukraine and appear at the TCC and SP. On May 18, a new law on mobilization came into force in Ukraine, which obliges all conscripted citizens aged 18-60 to update their data in the TCC and SP by July 16.
